「確実に」に相当する英語表現も、「surely」ではなく、「with a degree of certitude (あるいは「certainty」)」または「without fail」が最適です。

「確実に検出できる」という一節を英訳するなら、

can surely be detected

ではなく、

can be detected with a degree of certitude

または

can be detected without fail

が適切です。

「確実に解明することができる」という一節なら、

can confirm securely

よりも、

can clarify without fail

と訳した方がはるかに良いでしょう。

「確実に検出できず」という否定形なら、

cannot surely be detected

ではなく、
