「ゼロに近づく」という一節を英訳するなら、「be close to zero」よりも、「approach zero」の方が正確です。

が適切です。

「Xが0から離れるにつれて」という一節を英訳するなら、

as X is distant from zero

という表現よりも、

as X moves away from zero

の方が正確です。

「蓋体が上カバーと離間する方向へ摺動される」という一節を英訳するなら、

the lid body is made to slide in a direction of departing from the upper cover

よりも、

とするか、もう少し簡潔に、
