ではなく、

in order to clarify differences with the techniques described in the cited documents

が適切です。日本語の助詞「と」から明らかなように、比較されているのは、引用文献に記載されていない技術と記載されている技術であり、引用文献に記載されている技術間ではありません。

「お客様に情報を提供する」という一節を英訳するなら、

provide information to customers

よりも、

provide customers with information

の方がはるかに自然です。簡単な表現ですが、すんなりと英訳できない日本人翻訳者が一部見受けられます。

「Aとの接触部」に相当する英語表現は、the contact portion with A」ではなく、「the portion that makes contact with A」です。
